John founded Geo-Resource in 2019 after more than a decade recruiting in mining and energy. Over his career he has worked with majors including BHP, Anglo American and AngloGold Ashanti, as well as junior explorers and mining-focused investment funds.
Today he works exclusively on senior geological and leadership searches for junior mining companies, mostly gold and copper explorers in Latin America and Canada. His placements also extend to West Africa, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Recent appointments include VP Exploration roles at Outcrop Silver, Copper Giant Resources and Mogotes Metals.
John’s network centres on the people juniors find hardest to reach: geologists and executives with 20+ years of experience who have come through several cycles and are rarely on the market. He knows most of them personally, which is why his shortlists are short.
Although based in London, he reguarly travels to meet clients across the Americas so he is regularly on the ground in the regions where his clients operate.
